Smooth Jazz & R&B Instrumentals Collection

Smooth as silk — 80 laid-back jazz and R&B instrumentals, covers, and sax-driven versions built for chill rooms, cocktail hours, dinner sets, lounges, and anywhere the music should feel polished without demanding the spotlight.

Downloads are High Quality 320k

No intros. No hype edits. Just the vibe.

This collection is intentionally different from most of my DJ packs. There are no added DJ intros on these tracks. This is not a folder built around quick transitions, party breaks, or mix tricks.

It is simply a collection of smooth, relaxed music that sounds good in the background and still has enough familiarity to make people recognize what they are hearing.

Familiar R&B songs without the full vocal

A big part of the appeal is how recognizable the material is. You will hear smooth-jazz and instrumental interpretations connected to songs such as A Woman's Worth, Brown Sugar, Sweet Thing, Anniversary, My My My, Me and Mrs. Jones, Ascension, I Want You, That's The Way Love Goes, Between the Sheets, Never Too Much, End of the Road, You Don't Know My Name, Rock the Boat, Lost Without U, Body Party, and many more.

That makes the collection easy to use with mixed crowds because the melodies are familiar, but the instrumental presentation keeps the room relaxed.

Serious smooth-jazz names throughout the crate

The actual playlist includes Boney James, Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, George Howard, Norman Brown, Najee, Brian Culbertson, Peter White, Richard Elliot, Paul Jackson Jr., Walter Beasley, Wayman Tisdale, Eric Darius, Marion Meadows, Marcus Johnson, Lin Rountree, and others.

There are also a lot of R&B-focused instrumental cover versions from Streetwize, Smooth Jazz All Stars, LivingForce, and similar projects, which is where many of the instantly recognizable songs come from.

Built for the part of the event where people should be comfortable

This collection works especially well for cocktail hours, dinner music, lounges, restaurants, hotel bars, brunches, poolside afternoons, wedding arrivals, corporate receptions, wine events, upscale background sets, and late-night wind-down moments.

It gives you a smooth R&B identity without pushing the energy too hard, which makes it useful when you want the room to feel warm and familiar but still allow conversation.

Great for cocktail sets when regular R&B feels too vocal

Sometimes the original vocal version of a song is just a little too much for the moment. A smooth instrumental cover solves that problem. The crowd still recognizes the melody, but the music sits underneath the room rather than competing with it.

That can be especially useful for weddings and upscale events where you want recognizable music during cocktails or dinner without making it feel like the dance floor has already started.

Let the songs breathe

Because these are not built as intro edits, the best way to use this crate is often to simply let the songs play. Blend them naturally when it makes sense, or use them as a polished background soundtrack and allow the arrangements to do the work.

This is one of those collections where the value is less about technical DJ tricks and more about having the right music ready for a very specific mood.

No intros. No pressure. Just 80 smooth records that make a room feel good.

Bottom line: if you need high-energy DJ edits, this is not that pack. If you want smooth jazz and R&B instrumentals that can quietly carry a cocktail hour, lounge, dinner, brunch, poolside set, or relaxed adult crowd, this is exactly what it was built for.
